Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

at

Saltash Health Centre

Who is the service for:

Any patient registered with our GP practice who is over 16 years of age and  presenting with a problem appropriate to be seen by our MSK (Musculoskeletal) Physiotherapist

Details:

Our practice will be offering appointments with a MSK Physiotherapist without having to see the GP first for patients with joint or muscle problems, a back or neck problem or sports injuries.

The Physiotherapist will offer a 20 minute appointment. This appointment will allow for assessment of the problem, advice and signposting for management of the problem that you have.

Please note that these appointments are not for on-going physiotherapy but are for assessment and advice only. If the Physiotherapist thinks that you need further treatment, investigation, medication, fit note or onward referral, he/she will be able to liaise with your GP and arrange this for you so that, in most cases, a separate appointment with the GP will not be required.

If you are otherwise well and over the age of 16 years you could be seen by the Physiotherapist for the following problems:

·        Back pain and sciatica

·        Neck pain and whiplash

·        Shoulder pain on movement

·        Joint pains – e.g. elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle, foot

·        Osteoarthritis

·        Muscle and tendon pains

·        Sports injuries, sprains, strains

Contact / Access:

Call the GP practice on 01752 842281. Our patient co-ordinator will ask if you are happy to give a brief description of your symptoms. If your problem is appropriate to be seen by a MSK Physiotherapist you will be offered an appointment.
